2024 U14 Nationals

HOCKEY

Ben is a passionate young hockey player who competes for three local hockey teams as part of the Manypeaks and Bethel Hockey Clubs. In addition to playing, he will take up umpiring this year and plans to trial for the U15 School Sport State Team. Over the past four years, Ben has represented LGSHA in 12 different carnivals and will continue to do so this season.

One of Ben’s greatest sporting achievements was being selected for the U14 Boys’ Gold State Team and winning gold at the tournament in Perth last year. Other major accomplishments include selection in the U13 Boys’ State Team, winning the Bunbury Carnival Division for 7/8 Boys, and securing grand final victories in both B Grade Men’s and 7/8/9 Boys in 2024. He was also named Best on Ground in the 7/8/9 Grand Final and received the Best and Fairest Award for the 7/8/9 division.

Over the past year, Ben has greatly enjoyed being part of the academy, noticing significant improvements both in the gym and on the field. Along with enhancing his physical capabilities, he has gained valuable knowledge about various aspects of sport, including how to secure sponsorships.
