Sophia Riddell

SWIMMING

Sophia is a dedicated young swimming who competes in long course, short course and open water events. Her strongest events are the 50m, 100m and 200m backstroke. Sophia is based in Albany and is a committed member of Albany Swim Club, Performance Squad and Albany Surf Life Saving. Sophia has been awarded lots of medals at a local and school level, but her greatest achievement to date is a silver medal in the 100m backstroke in 2024 Country Championships. She is also a decorated open water swimmer, placing 1st in the youth division at the recent Albany Harbour Swim. Sophia was also Albany Swim Clubs 2023/24 Under 14s Club Champion and received the 2022/23 Woodside State Nipper Club Achiever Award.

Sophia current goals are to get her 50m freestyle sub 30 seconds and to swim the 200m backstroke in the State time.
